In 2013, Ulysse Nardin released the Stranger, an exceptional timepiece, a new kind of a repeater that mimics a classical music box and plays the memorable song of 1966. For 2015 they are releasing an updated version, the Ulysse Nardin Stranger Vivaldi.
This time, the precious timepiece audibly chimes the hours and minutes by playing the Vivaldi melody, the famous Violin Concerto in E. The song plays when you press the music button at 10 O’Clock on the case.
This watch also features a set of beautiful gold roman numerals on the dial which I believe help the wearer to visualise musical notes on a page when the disc mechanism is in action. There’s also beautifully shaped hands indicating the hours and minutes, a sub-seconds dial with the date at 6 O’Clock, a music box indicator and a special way of adjusting the time using the pusher at 8 O’Clock in tandem with the crown.
The Ulysse Nardin Stranger Vivaldi Watch will be issued in a limited edition of 99 pieces.
